SPORTS GALA

Sports Gala

Event Category: KS3 & KS4 (open to TISKL secondary students & outsiders)

Venue: Sports Hall, Taylor's International School KL

Overall Timing: 2.45pm - 8.00pm (latest)

  • ONLY basketball competitions

  • Form a mixed team of eight (8) players, at least 2 boys OR 2 girls per team

  • Team leader to be chosen, only team leader required to fill up registration form

​

Cost: RM160 per team, RM20 per player

Includes:

  • Participation in basketball matches

  • Goodie bag: sponsored goods

  • Medals (for top 3 teams)

​

Prizes:

  • Champion - Gold Medal for each player of the team 

  • 1st Runner-up - Silver Medal for each player of the team 

  • 2nd Runner-up - Bronze Medal for each player of the team

​

FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! - A limit of only 8 teams per category(this may subject to change), each team’s registration will only be valid upon confirmation of payment of participation fees

Updates 

  • Each team should choose one colour for the sport shirts they will be wearing on the day itself. We will confirm this with the team leader upon registration.

Registration and Payment Procedure:

  • Form a team of only eight (8), consisting of at least 2 boys OR 2 girls, all team members are to come from the same category

  • A team leader is to be chosen among the team members, he/she would be filling up the registration form on behalf of the team.

  • A payment slip would be sent to the team leader’s registered email address within a day after submitting the registration form. Please immediately email kl3666@kl.student.tis.edu.my if you do not receive the payment slip. Otherwise the payment slip will be deemed as received.

  • The payment slip will contain banking details and payment should be done as soon as possible by 1 representative for each team

  • After payment, please take a picture of the receipt and send it via WhatsApp to +6016-2333-018 for confirmation

  • A confirmation email will be sent to the team leader’s registered email address. Please immediately email kl3666@kl.student.tis.edu.my if you do not receive the confirmation email. Otherwise the confirmation email, event announcements and detailed schedules (sent only to those whose participation are confirmed) will be deemed as received.

To note:

  • Once paid, RM160 is non-refundable

  • If any of the team members are not present on event day, the team might be disqualified depending on the number of team members remaining. Substitutes can be made but must be informed to +6016-2333-018 before event day.

  • We will have a medical team on standby

  • However on event day do play at your own risk, we won’t be taking responsibility for any damages done from the competition.

Rules and Regulations

Basketball

  • Follow rules of KLISS: full court press and no free throws

  • Mixed basketball: each team must have at least 1 girl playing on the court

  • Each match will have two halves; each half lasting 7 minutes with a halftime of 1 minute

  • Each category, if there are 6-8 teams, will have two separate round robins; 3-4 teams will be placed in each round robin

  • A point system will be used to determine the winning team in the round robin

  • The winning team of each round robin will go head to head in the finals

  • The runner-up of each round robin will go head to head in the 3rd place playoffs

  • The finals and the 3rd place playoffs will have two halves, each ten minutes long with a halftime of 5 minute.

AMAZING RACE

Amazing Race

Basic Information

Venue: Field, Taylor’s International School KL

Event Category: KS1 & KS2 (open to TISKL students and guardians)

Overall Timing: 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m

 

Overview

The Inaugural Amazing Race is an obstacle course which challenges teams with mental and physical tasks. Teams will race all over school, receiving clues which would lead them from one challenge to another. Participants sign up in pairs, but will be randomly assigned to teams of 10. This student led race hopes to enthrall all participants with its unique set of obstacles, while cultivating team spirit and sparking new friendships.

Junior Wave

1 child (Year 1 - 3), 1 guardian (18 years old and above)

2 children (Year 4 - 6)

Cost

Junior Wave: RM50 per pair (RM25 per person)

Senior Wave: RM70 per pair (RM35 per person)

Inclusive of:

  • Bandana

  • Goodie bag (sponsored goods and vouchers)

 

Prizes

  • Champion - Gold Medal for each player of the team, Fruit basket, 5 pax Hemeya face serum 

  • 1st Runner-up - Silver Medal for each player of the team, Fruit basket 

  • 2nd Runner-up - Bronze Medal for each player of the team, Fruit basket

  • Select your age group: Junior Wave 1 child 1 guardian, Year 1-3; Senior Wave 2 children, Year 4-6

  • Sign up in pairs

  • Only 1 person is required to sign up for each pair 

  • Upon submitting registration form, bank transfer details will be provided

  • Make payment and submit proof of payment to Chloe Goy at 016 339 2569

TISKL Students

All TISKL secondary classes will be setting up booths selling a variety of goods.

Student Council

Student Council will be setting up our very own booth, which will have a bouncy castle and dunk tank for all visitors to enjoy! More details regarding pricing etc. will be announced as the event approaches, so stay tuned!
